Frequently Asked Questions

Which areas do you cover?

I primarily cover the Hinckley Driving Test Centre area, including Hinckley, Barwell, Earl Shilton, Burbage, Stoney Stanton and nearby villages. If you have a test booked at the Nuneaton or Leicester Driving Test Centres we can accommodate this but we're unable to offer regular lessons in these areas.

What are your pricing and payment options?

We offer competitive hourly rates and discounted block bookings when purchasing blocks of 10 or 20 hours. Payment can be made via the app or via bank transfer (please note there's a small transaction charge for app payments). Payments must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance of lessons, or the lesson will be cancelled.

How do I check availability and book a lesson?

For driving lessons in Hinckley and surrounding areas, you can submit a booking request online, email hello@callerdrivingschool.co.uk, send a message via Facebook, or call/Whatsapp on 07772 141 933.

What is your success rate and approach to test prep?

I pride myself on a high pass rate and a high percentage of students passing their driving test with only a small handful of faults, but more importantly, I focus on creating confident, competent drivers. Preparation includes mock tests around the Hinckley Test Centre to ensure you know exactly what to expect on the big day, reducing nerves and increasing success.

How do you help nervous drivers, or people who've had bad experiences driving?

Specialising in anxious drivers is at the heart of Caller Driving School - I have extensive experience working with anxious or nervous students, and working with people with conditions such as PTSD or OCD. I use a patient, calm, reassure-first method that builds your confidence gradually. If you've had a bad experience before, we go back to basics in a low-pressure environment to help you rediscover the joy of driving.

How long are the driving lessons?

Standard lessons are 1 or 2 hours long, but 90 minute sessions are available on request. For some anxious learners, longer sessions often help create a calmer environment without the pressure of a ticking clock, but others may find a shorter sessions preferred to avoid overwhelm and allow for decompression time.

Do you offer evening or weekend lessons?

Yes, I offer both evening lessons and weekend lessons. These slots are very popular, so I recommend early booking to secure your preferred regular time. Lessons on Bank Holidays are offered in a limited number.

What's your cancellation policy?

Lessons can be rearranged or cancelled for free with a minimum 48 hours notice. With less than 48 hours notice, the full lesson cost is payable.
